Our president, Bill Johnson, CSP, is a 50-year veteran of the recording industry, including years with Capitol Records and Ampex Corporation. He was president and pioneer of tape productions by over 100 top speakers and seminar leaders including 18 past presidents of the National Speakers Association.
At the New Orleans NSA Convention Bill received a standing ovation following his presentation "The Best Ideas from 33 NSA Conventions." His best ideas are posted on this site; you can see them by clicking here.
Bill was the first Executive Vice President of NSA 1975 to 1983. He earned the CSP designation in 1988. In August 2003 he was honored as "Legend of the Speaking Profession" by the Washington D.C.-area based Veteran Speakers Conference. In 2008 Bill was surprised with a breakfast planned by NSA EVP Stacy Tetschner to present Bill with memento as "Life Member NSA 2008." The attendees included seven past National Presidents of NSA. He was also honored with first "Lifetime Achievement" honor by NSA Arizona in April.

A personal note from Bill Johnson to viewers....
At age 60, Cavett Robert gave his first paid speech... at age 40 I learned there were "professional speakers" (how wierd)... then a new term "association executive" and "meeting planner" became indelible parts of my life. Now, at age 76, most all of my friends and business associates are one or more of those professions. What an amazing life this has been! My roots as know today are Germany, Iowa, Arkansas, Texas.... from my birthplace of my father in Dalhart, TX and my mother in Comanche, TX my life went to Dallas, Memphis, Ft Ord, CA, San Francisco, Paris, Atlanta (Marriage), Dallas (again... three children), Chicago and Phoenix (end of the line).
Yes, life does begin at 40! As Cavett Robert founded National Speakers Association I was swept into that wave. From "the recording guy" I became a speaker ending up speaking in 34 countries and seven foreign venues..... who would have believed!!! Only in America.. and the present world!!
In 2006 another obscure kid Joel Weldon and wife Judy organized the highlight of my life. It was a dinner at Phoenix Country Club. None of us had ever been Country Club member! It was a celebration of Cavett Robert and all of the guests who had been a part of a new breed of people who become "speakers".... I was honored as a contributor of this amazing career.
Like so many, just by accident...
